Without it, I wouldn&#39;t be the person I am today - it gave me my confidence back, and allowed me to meet people who I couldn&#39;t imagine not knowing now. I don&#39;t really know how I got into it; I never wanted to be an actor and I didn&#39;t even see it as a pathway into film like some do. I&#39;d just finished my first directing job - on a play I&#39;d written, I might add - when I realised it just wasn&#39;t fun any more. Not to mention I was putting a fuckton of effort and energy into something that really wasn&#39;t relevant to my future! I still go to as many plays as I can and I remember all my experiences fondly.
